SADEGH TIRAFKAN (Iran)

Born in Iraq in 1965 to Iranian parents, Sadegh Tirafkan trained as photographer at the University of Fine Arts in Tehran. His work focuses on themes of Iranian traditions and religious rituals. He uses his knowledge of culture to explore his Persian identity. Since the late 1980s, he has participated in numerous solo exhibitions and group shows around the globe and his works are part of permanent collections of several museums worldwide.
